Flexible modular design

For Ocean 2 inverters, up to 6 Ocean 2 8.03kWh batteries can be stacked with an Ocean 2 Battery Base. 

For Ocean 2 Plus inverters, a second stack of up to 6 Ocean 2 8.03kWh batteries can be connected using a Power Ocean Plus Battery Base and Junction Box to achieve 96kWh of storage capacity.

The Ocean 2 batteries can be mixed and matched across battery sizes and are cross generation compatible with the Power Ocean LFP batteries, allowing for seamless integration with existing Ecoflow systems. If a mix of Ocean 2 batteries and Power Ocean LFP batteries are used, only up to 4 batteries can be combined in a stack.

10 layers of battery protection

The Ecoflow Ocean 2 battery comes with 6 layers of passive protection including Aerogel thermal insulation, FPC short circuit protection, fire-resistant insulation, a built-in fire protection modules, an explosion-proof pressure relief valve and an aluminium alloy enclosure. There are also 4 layers of active protection including NTC temperature monitoring, an AFE chip built into the BMS, multi-layer balancing protection, and cloud BMS early warning.
