The Cyrix-Li-Charge will disengage immediately whenever its control input becomes free floating, signalling cell over voltage or cell over temperature. In general a cell over voltage alarm will reset shortly after charging has been stopped. The Cyrix will then reconnect the charger after a delay of 3 seconds. After two attempts to reengage with 3 seconds delay, the delay increases to 10 minutes. Whenever battery voltage is less than 13,5V (resp. 27V or 54V), the Cyrix will disengage with a delay of 1 hour. Tank levels can be read-out locally in the system. The GX Tank is compatible with current senders (4 to 20 mA) as well as voltage senders (0 to 10 V). The connection to the GX Device is via USB, which is also how the GX Tank is powered: no additional power wires required. Tank sender wiring is kept as simple as possible: two of the four inputs provide a 24 V power supply, to power the sender. The other two channels do require an external power supply, and there is a power in terminal together with fused outputs to facilitate that. Upper and lower limits are configurable, to allow using senders that provide only part of the scale, for example 0 to 5 V. To provide a stable reading, the readings are averaged damping. The damping can be configured between 1 and 60 seconds. Faulty sensors and wiring issues are detected: an alarm will be raised when values are out of range. For marine applications, the GX Device can transmit these tank levels on the NMEA 2000 network to be picked up by other displays such as an MFD.

Voltage drop is less than 0,02 Volt at low current and averages 0,1 Volt at higher currents.   When using ARGO FET Battery Isolators, there is no need to also increase the output voltage of the alternator. Voltage drop is less than 0,02 Volt at low current and averages 0,1 Volt at higher currents.   When using ARGO FET Battery Isolators, there is no need to also increase the output voltage of the alternator. Care should taken however to keep cable lengths short and of sufficient cross section.   Example: When a current of 100 A flows through a cable of 50 mm2 cross section (AWG 0) and 10 m length (30 ft), the voltage drop over the cable will be 0,26 Volt. Similarly a current of 50 A through a cable of 10 mm2 cross section (AWG 7) and 5 m length (15 ft) will result in a voltage drop of 0,35 Volt!   Alternator energize input Some alternators need DC voltage on the B+ output to start charging. Obviously, DC will be present when the alternator is directly connected to a battery.
